SPECIALIZED IN WORLDWIDE EXPEDITIONS
#nature, #sports, #sailing, #science, #adventure
Embark with me on an adventure off the beaten path. Through the lens, I am eager to share travel tales, inspiring stories, smiles, and tears, all while capturing the beauty and fragility of our world.
Since 2015, I’ve been crisscrossing the globe, both on land and ocean. Specializing in itinerant missions and scientific expeditions, I produce reports for international television, the web, and print media. It’s a passion-driven job to which I’ve wholeheartedly dedicated nearly a decade.
See below some of the most memorable experiences.
“Maéva managed to capture some of the best footage of oceanic storm-driven waves in the North Pacific I have ever seen.”

ON BOARD REPORTER | SCIENCE JOURNALIST
TARA OCEAN FOUNDATION
My first experience as an On-Board Reporter (OBR) was on the schooner Tara, in 2015. I’ve had the privilege of embarking multiple times: from the canals of Patagonia to Antarctica and the Amazon River…
My role is to document the expedition using various forms of media: podcast, video, photo, and writting. Through inspiring stories, the goal is to engage the general public and raise awareness about the significance of understanding and protecting the ocean.
The Tara Ocean Foundation project was a revelation and has fueled my passion as a journalist for several years now.

CLIPPER ROUND THE WORLD RACE
In 2016, freshly arrived in London to improve my English, I stumbled upon subway ads promoting a round-the-world sailing adventure: ‘Achieve something remarkable: sail around the World.‘ A few months later, after numerous tests and interviews, I joined the journey as an On-Board Reporter.
My role was to document life aboard the racing boats for a television series broadcast worldwide called ‘The Race of Their Lives.’ A relentless job: on board, around twenty people sharing a confined space, no showers, no privacy, and tossed by extreme navigation conditions, such as a hurricane!
Clipper remains the biggest challenge of my life!

AWARD-WINNING SHORT FILM
SHORT FILM DIRECTOR “LA COURSE DE LEUR VIE”
CLIPPER asked me to put together some of my footage to share my insight and behind-the-scenes experience from the Clipper round-the-world yacht race 2017/18.
Screened the first time in October 2018 at the WATERPROOF FILM FESTIVAL of Geneva, my short movie “LA COURSE DE LEUR VIE” has won the “Prix du Public” awarded by the audience.

ON VARIOUS ADVENTURE TRIP
In 2018, I swapped sailing yachts for maxi-trail adventure motorbikes, which marked the beginning of a turning point in my career, which until then had been almost exclusively focused on the sea.
I then undertook a series of assignments on the roads and tracks of the world: Mongolia, Bolivia, Australia, Vietnam, etc. documenting motorbike road trips, women’s orienteering races, etc.
The most memorable was the transcontinental journey from Bangkok to Paris: a three-month road trip along the Silk Road. In all, we travelled by motorbike through 22 countries, including Laos, China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey, and so on. The landscapes we crossed were unforgettable, but it was also a journey through history, cultures and civilisations.
PS: I had never ridden a motorcycle before and I passed my initiation with flying colors, tallying up nearly 40,000 km* in just a few months!
*as a passenger, but it still counts, right?
